Princess Nourah University Team Wins First Place in Athletics at the Second Gulf Universities Sports Tournament

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s team achieved first place in Athletics competitions as part of the Second Sports Tournament for Female Students of Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The tournament was hosted by Hamad Bin Khalifa University in the State of Qatar from 6 to 11 February 2026, with the participation of (11) universities from across the Gulf region. The participation of Princess Nourah University’s team in the tournament aimed to support women’s university sports at the Gulf level, enhance organized sports competition among universities, and contribute to consolidating the institutional presence of participating universities in regional sports forums. It is worth noting that the Second Sports Tournament for Female Students of Universities and Higher Education Institutions in GCC countries included (8) different sports: athletics, table tennis, basketball, badminton, fencing, football, volleyball, and padel, with the participation of several Gulf universities. The victory of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s team, affiliated with the Sports Affairs Administration, contributes to developing athletic competencies and achieving the university’s strategic plan objectives by empowering students with a spirit of positive competition, enhancing skills, knowledge, and values, and expanding intellectual and athletic horizons.
