The Secretariat of the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman Award for Women’s Excellence announced the closure of nominations for the award’s eighth cycle, noting the commencement of evaluation and judging phases for competing submissions across its six categories, which this year aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 programs. The award opened nominations in November 2025 across six “theoretical” and “applied” fields: health sciences, humanities studies, social work, natural sciences, economic projects, and artistic works, targeting individuals, government entities, authorities, and scientific and cultural institutions. The Secretary-General of the Princess Nourah Award for Women’s Excellence, Dr. Rasha Al-Ghafees, stated that “the eighth cycle of the award received more than 500 outstanding submissions, reflecting the high level of engagement and the innovation, quality, and social and cultural impact of the entries.” She added that “the submitted works addressed topics reflecting national identity and sustainable initiatives, in addition to original studies and publications documenting national heritage and traditional handicrafts, contributing to highlighting women’s creativity in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.” The Princess Nourah Award for Women’s Excellence is the first award dedicated to celebrating distinguished achievements of Saudi women and highlighting their contributions in support of sustainable national development. The award is presented annually, and submissions are evaluated based on several key criteria, including innovation, impact, inspiration, and sustainability.
