The Biobank Administration at the Natural and Health Sciences Research Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched the website of “Noura Biobank” in cooperation with the Information Technology Department at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital. The initiative aims to facilitate access to research services and introduce the research community to the biobank. The Noura Biobank website serves as an interactive platform that facilitates access to scientific services related to the biobank, research requests, and biological research resources. It also enables university affiliates, researchers, and interested individuals from within and outside the university academically and research-wise through the content and research and health services it provides. Noura Biobank offers a range of research and health services, including the collection and storage of biological samples, cell and tissue analysis, microscopy and electron imaging services, and support for research projects with biological data. Dr. Alaa Al-Masoud, Head of the Noura Biobank Division at the Natural and Health Sciences Research Center, stated that “the launch of the Noura Biobank website represents an important step toward expanding communication channels with the research community,” noting that “the platform aims to enable students and researchers to access information and services and provide a digital environment that supports interaction and scientific participation.” The website launch aligns with the efforts of the Biobank Administration at the Natural and Health Sciences Research Center and the Information Technology Department at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital, contributing to achieving Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s strategic plan objectives by supporting research and innovation ecosystems and enhancing research knowledge and skills.
