Promoting Community Responsibility: Princess Nourah University as a Strategic Partner in the Riyadh Marathon 2026

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, represented by its colleges and administrative departments, participated in the Riyadh Marathon 2026, held from 28 to 31 January 2026, with the aim of promoting community responsibility and raising awareness of health and physical activities. The participation took place at the university campus. The university’s participation included awareness campaigns, field initiatives, a fitness assessment awareness booth, and a booth introducing safe health practices during warm-up exercises and sports injury prevention, contributing to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. The College of Medicine activated awareness campaigns titled “Sports Without Injury” and “Sports and the Lungs,” in addition to a field initiative in first aid, as part of a program to train female students in volunteer work during sports events. The College of Sport Sciences and Physical Activity also contributed by conducting warm-up exercises for marathon participants before the race, while the Sports Affairs Department participated with the Princess Nourah University team, reinforcing community responsibility and aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 toward building a vibrant society and a healthy lifestyle. Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s participation as a strategic partner in the Riyadh Marathon 2026 comes within its ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness and physical activity, and as a contribution to achieving the university’s strategic plan objectives aimed at providing a supportive environment for health and well-being and creating a sustainable and safe educational environment.
