The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched today, Sunday, 1 February 2026, the “Career Carnival” in its first edition, aimed at enhancing career awareness among female students and graduates of the university and building competitive, qualified national competencies. The event is being held at the university campus. The four-day carnival is designed as an innovative interactive experience that seeks to promote a culture of career guidance and provide career consultations and assessment tools that help students and graduates build informed career paths. This contributes to creating an interactive university environment, encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyles, and simultaneously enhancing professional readiness and informed career decision-making. The carnival focuses on knowledge transfer and inspiration, as well as building professional networks between experts and beneficiaries, with the participation of a number of female experts and professional practitioners from various sectors. This aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in investing in human capital, empowering women, and enhancing the competitiveness of national competencies. On the fourth day of the event, the sports program “We Walk and We Guide” will be launched in cooperation with the Arab Center for Women Empowerment (Half), through an open guidance hour aimed at exchanging practical experiences, expanding professional networks, and strengthening confidence in future career choices. The event includes a dedicated space for career guidance sessions, interactive booths for self-discovery of interests and skills, presentations of inspiring success stories from university alumnae, in addition to CV and LinkedIn profile reviews and mock interviews. These activities provide practical career support for the beneficiaries. The Dean of the Deanship of Student Affairs, Dr. Dunya Al-Faraj, explained that “the event reflects the university’s orientation toward providing innovative models of career guidance within an interactive environment, contributing to creating a real impact on the journey of the next generation of national competencies.” She also noted that “the event seeks to enhance the readiness of Saudi women to engage with labor market requirements and build sustainable career paths.” The “Career Carnival” reflects the efforts of the Deanship of Student Affairs to contribute to achieving the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s strategic plan by preparing competitive human capital, enhancing women’s active participation in the labor market, and improving the quality of outputs in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
