The College of Engineering at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized on Monday, January 26, 2026, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, the University of Tokyo (Japan), and a number of industrial partners, the event “Hydrogen Fuel Vehicle Mobility,” with the participation of students, faculty and administrative staff members, and interested individuals. The event was held at the University’s Conference and Convention Center. The two-day event aims to introduce participants to the latest technologies in clean hydrogen and renewable energy, while highlighting hydrogen applications in the transportation sector. The event features the presentation of a cross-sectional model of a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, field shuttle tours using a hydrogen-powered bus within the university campus, and the opportunity to experience driving hydrogen fuel vehicles under direct technical supervision. In addition, an informational exhibition showcases the characteristics of hydrogen as an alternative, safe, and environmentally friendly fuel. The Dean of the College of Engineering at Princess Nourah University, Dr. Hanan bint Munqash, explained that “the event reflects the College’s commitment to its academic and research role in empowering female students and qualifying Saudi female engineers who contribute to the development of national industries in clean energy fields, in a manner that supports innovation and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s directions in the energy and transportation sectors.” The “Hydrogen Fuel Vehicle Mobility” event comes as part of the College of Engineering’s efforts at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to raise awareness of renewable energy fields and contribute to achieving the objectives of the University’s strategic plan by enhancing skills, knowledge, and values, and by providing a sustainable and safe educational environment.
