During 2025, the Research Chairs Administration at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University achieved distinguished research outcomes, including the publication of peer-reviewed scientific research in journals indexed in international databases, the registration of patents in the fields of artificial intelligence, energy, and health applications, and the implementation of workshops and training programs. The research chairs strengthened their presence in performance indicators by publishing 21 peer-reviewed research papers in journals indexed in international databases, registering seven patents in artificial intelligence, energy, and health applications, and implementing 22 workshops and training programs that contributed to building research and innovation capacities. In addition, 10 local and national research partnerships were signed, and a satisfaction rate of 96% was achieved among researchers and beneficiaries, exceeding the targeted 90%, which confirms the quality of the research services provided. The efforts of the Research Chairs Administration focused on enhancing research outputs in the fields of artificial intelligence in healthcare, energy and innovation, and children’s and young adult literature. These efforts resulted in several achievements, including the development and launch of the “Wodouh” application for reading chest X-ray images and detecting four types of lung diseases, obtaining a grant from the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority, conducting applied research in renewable energy utilization and carbon emission reduction in support of sustainability goals, and producing knowledge and cultural outputs of national priority and developmental impact that support content directed at children and youth. These efforts coincided with the completion of digital transformation at a rate of 100% through the establishment of an integrated electronic archiving system and the implementation of the electronic accounting system “Da‘d,” in addition to enhancing governance, transparency, and efficiency in resource utilization, and aligning outputs with Saudi Vision 2030 and national research and innovation priorities. Dr. Salwa Al-Musaibi, Director of the Research Chairs Administration at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, stated that “the results of 2025 reflected progress in enhancing the quality of scientific research and the effectiveness of transforming knowledge into practical solutions and applications with scientific, economic, and societal value and sustainable impact.” She also noted the Administration’s supervision of three active research chairs in nationally prioritized fields: artificial intelligence in healthcare, energy and innovation, and children’s and young adult literature. The Research Chairs Administration continues to contribute to strengthening the strategic objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University by improving the quality of scientific research and publication efficiency in peer-reviewed journals, enhancing the production of applied knowledge linked to national development needs, and supporting the empowerment of Saudi female researchers and increased participation in research and innovation, thereby achieving sustainable scientific, economic, and societal impact in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
