The Sports Affairs Department at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University achieved a remarkable sports presence during 2025, implementing a total of 154 sports programs and organizing 81 sports tournaments, resulting in 140 medals, reflecting growing attention to building an integrated sports ecosystem and supporting quality of life and women’s empowerment, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 goals for the sports sector. The year concluded with the achievement of 56 gold, 36 silver, and 48 bronze medals, in addition to securing first place in the Saudi Universities Performance Index for the 15th sports season (female students), reflecting the advancement of the university sports system. The University also secured first place in the first Saudi Women’s Championship (Youth Category) in judo for the 78 kg and 57 kg weight classes, and first place in the Saudi University Sports Federation Championship for athletics, futsal, e-sports, and chess. The University continued its leading presence in the 16th season, achieving first place in the Saudi University Sports Federation Archery Championship and Athletics Championship, third place in the Badminton Championship, and second place in the Futsal Championship. The University organized activation tournaments, centralized training programs, and community initiatives and partnerships supporting university sports objectives and quality of life. The total number of tournaments organized in 2025 reached 81, contributing to increased sports participation and promoting sports sustainability culture. The newly developed sports programs focused on diversifying activities offered to students, expanding participation bases, promoting an active lifestyle within the University, discovering and refining athletic talents, developing physical and technical skills, and fostering teamwork and positive competition. The Sports Affairs Department strives to improve sports performance indicators, increase sports participation rates through high-quality programs and activities, promote healthy lifestyles, attract and prepare talents for local and regional competitions, and provide a supportive sports environment that enhances capabilities.These achievements fall within the role of the Sports Affairs Department under the Deanship of Student Affairs in contributing to the realization of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s strategic plan by enhancing quality of life, empowering women in sports, and expanding sports participation, thereby developing the university sports system.
