Based on Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s role in empowering women and enhancing their leadership in the national development journey, the University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center implemented a package of training programs and initiatives in innovation and entrepreneurship during 2025, benefiting more than 3,000 participants from students, staff, and individuals interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. Throughout the year, the Center implemented more than 40 activities, including dialogue sessions, training programs, boot camps, digital meetings, training courses, and workshops. These activities focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, and electronic games, covering idea development, entrepreneurial skill enhancement, prototype building, and transforming ideas into applicable entrepreneurial initiatives and projects. The Center recorded notable achievements in supporting entrepreneurial and innovative projects, including the registration of 22 local and international patents, incubation of 20 entrepreneurial innovation projects, and the extraction of 76 innovations from training programs and boot camps. The training programs offered by the Center included several qualitative initiatives, most notably the Certified Innovation Professional Program, Spark Hub Program, and the University Startup Accelerators Program, in addition to specialized courses focusing on entrepreneurial and technical skills, brand building, intellectual property, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and other entrepreneurship-related fields. In developing the institutional innovation environment, the Center launched the digital platform “Lanoura Nubtaker” to enhance the University’s innovation ecosystem. It also joined the National Alliance for Innovation Zones through signing an agreement with the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority, enhancing cooperation in research and innovation, increasing local patents, and exchanging best practices. The Center works to provide a supportive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship by refining entrepreneurial skills and transforming knowledge-based and research ideas into sustainable entrepreneurial solutions and projects with cognitive impact, through training programs, awareness initiatives, and support for intellectual property rights and patents.
