The Student Advisory Council at the Deanship of Student Affairs, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, won the Best Initiative Award for its initiative “Darb,” during the 10th Meeting of Student Advisory Councils of Universities and Higher Education Institutions of the Gulf Cooperation Council, held from 12 to 13 January 2026 in the State of Qatar. The award was granted based on the participation of the University’s Student Advisory Council members through the “Darb” initiative, which is a smart learning-support system (Tool Extension) that guides the use of artificial intelligence within universities as a supportive learning tool. It analyzes students’ performance while completing academic tasks through behavioral, linguistic, and time-based indicators, without intervening in content generation or providing ready-made answers. This approach contributes to enhancing critical thinking, developing academic skills, and supporting conscious and sustainable learning. The meeting is an annual initiative organized by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council for members of student advisory councils from various universities and institutions across GCC countries, emphasizing the importance of student leadership in shaping the future and reinforcing values of responsibility and initiative among youth. The Student Advisory Council’s achievement contributes to preparing competitive competencies and supports the realization of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s strategic plan by empowering female students with leadership roles, enhancing skills, knowledge, and values, and expanding intellectual and social horizons.
