Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University won two awards under the “Impact-Making” track as part of the Innovation in E-Learning and Digital Training Award for the year (2024–2025), organized by the National E-Learning Center. The awards were presented during the Digital Education Forum 2025, held at the Center’s headquarters in Riyadh.
The University’s achievement under the Impact-Making track included two categories: E-Learning and Digital Training Initiatives through the Flexible Learning Initiative, and Open Educational Content. These categories recognize institutions that have made a tangible impact in expanding lifelong learning opportunities, developing human capabilities, and enhancing skills through e-learning and digital training, or through enriching and maximizing the use of open educational resources. This achievement reflects the University’s adoption of an innovative institutional approach to developing its e-learning ecosystem in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. The Flexible Learning Pathways initiative represents an innovative model that integrates academic education with labor market requirements, benefiting more than 25,000 participants. The initiative was implemented across three execution streams: academic programs, graduate pathways, and professional development. In the field of open educational content, the University achieved a significant impact, with more than 4,500 open educational resources published on the OERx platform, generating over 94,000 digital interactions. The University also ranked fifth among platform partners, with more than 165 diverse collections covering multiple academic disciplines. Najaat Al-Saleh, Director of the E-Learning Department at the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, emphasized that “this achievement embodies Princess Nourah University’s commitment to developing innovative educational models with sustainable impact.” She noted that “the winning initiatives represent a practical translation of the University’s vision to empower human capital, enhance education quality, and align learning outcomes with labor market needs, while providing flexible digital learning solutions that enhance the educational ecosystem.” The Innovation in E-Learning and Digital Training Award is one of the national initiatives of the National E-Learning Center. It aims to enhance the quality of e-learning and digital training programs, encourage innovative educational solutions, and recognize efforts in activating e-learning and developing human capabilities through three main tracks: Digital Solutions, Learning Experience, and Impact-Making. This achievement reflects Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s continued investment in educational innovation and its role as a leading educational institution contributing to national development goals and promoting sustainable digital education that supports a knowledge-based society.
