The College of Design and Arts at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University will organize tomorrow, Monday, 5 January 2026, the third edition of the “Frame” Exhibition, which showcases the graduation projects of the third cohort of the Film Production and Animation Program. The exhibition features the participation of approximately 26 students as part of the Graduation Project course offered by the Department of Cinema and Theatre Arts, and will be held at the college premises. Running until 7 January 2026, the exhibition presents six short films that vary in themes, ideas, and narrative and visual styles, spanning fantasy, drama, cultural inspiration, and historical dimensions within contemporary cinematic frameworks. The featured films include: Gate of Najd, The Final Destination, Night of Meteors, Haddaj Tayma, Sheehanah, and Draft. The exhibition highlights a comprehensive experience through which the animation and cinematic production tracks are presented, showcasing the knowledge, skills, and technical competencies acquired by the graduates through their innovative film projects. These projects reflect the application of creative thinking methodologies and critical thinking skills. The “Frame” Exhibition serves as a platform for interaction and communication among graduates, university students, and film industry enthusiasts, offering the opportunity to explore cinematic experiences produced by students and discover promising talents in film and animation. In this regard, the Head of the Department of Cinema and Theatre Arts at the College of Design and Arts, Dr. Haya Al-Rashoud, stated that “the exhibition embodies the department’s direction toward advancing arts education in line with the transformations witnessed in the Saudi cultural and creative landscape,” noting that “the projects were designed to engage with the growth of the film and animation industry and to strengthen the presence of local content capable of reaching wider audiences and competing at professional levels.” The exhibition welcomes visitors from the community during the evening hours from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., while the morning period on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., is designated for women to explore the graduation projects and artworks, and to learn about the narrative and visual approaches presented by the students. The “Frame” Exhibition at the College of Design and Arts aligns with the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s strategic plan, contributing to the preparation of competitive talents in the film industry, supporting and empowering female students by providing an environment that fosters culture, arts, and creativity, raising artistic and professional awareness, and contributing to the development of a sustainable creative ecosystem that opens new horizons in the film sector.
