The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has announced the opening of registration for the “Next-Generation Retail Sector Challenge Bootcamp.” The initiative is launched in cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) and the Retail Leaders Circle (RLC), with the aim of equipping participants with future skills and enhancing their capabilities in the retail sector. Registration for the bootcamp will remain open until Wednesday, December 31, 2025. The program targets university students, faculty members, and individuals interested in the retail sector both within and outside the university. The bootcamp seeks to strengthen participants’ analytical abilities, support the design of applicable innovative solutions, and align educational outcomes with labor market needs. The bootcamp features a series of practical and training activities covering key aspects of the retail sector, starting with an introduction to the industry and its challenges, idea generation and project scoping, field-testing concepts, developing prototypes, and building a Business Model Canvas, culminating in the selection of the best projects through a judging process. It also aims to equip participants with essential skills, including entrepreneurial thinking, practical retail skills, field research, hypothesis development grounded in real-world insights, prototype development, and business model design, while enhancing readiness for the job market and future-skills application. The “Next-Generation Retail Sector Challenge Bootcamp” will be held at the university from January 18 to 22, 2026, where participants will develop innovative solutions to industry challenges and build models to be presented to sector experts, offering a hands-on professional experience that blends innovation with practical application.
