Princess Nourah University Organizes a Series of Awareness Events in Conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, represented by its vice rectorates, deanships, colleges, and institutes, organized a series of awareness events and activities in conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The initiative aimed to raise community awareness about the importance of combating violence against women, highlight the challenges women face around the world, shed light on the various forms of violence, and emphasize the importance of addressing them within society. The events took place on the university campus, included a series of diverse programs, most notably a visual presentation illustrating the different forms of violence against women, as well as interactive and awareness booths featuring activities and informational messages on how to deal with situations involving violence. These efforts aimed to enhance understanding among faculty and administrative staff and students regarding types of violence and methods of prevention. In the same context, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the university conducted an awareness event under the slogan: “Let us stand together against all forms of violence and spread the message of respect and equality among all.” The event aimed to promote awareness of the concept of combating violence by offering educational materials and interactive activities directed at students. These events and awareness activities, held in conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, contributed to advancing the goals of the University’s Strategic Plan 2025. They highlighted the educational and awareness-driven role of the university in addressing women’s issues, supporting programs with social impact, and aligning with the university’s commitment to empowering women and increasing community awareness of violence and discrimination.
