The College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded a series of events and training activities held in conjunction with Global Cybersecurity Awareness Month, aiming to enhance digital and legal awareness among students, faculty members, and administrative staff at the University. The events included the awareness initiative “Your Digital Safety Is in Your Hands,” organized by the College in cooperation with the College of Law, represented by the University’s Legal Clinic, to highlight the importance of protecting digital information and adopting best practices in the use of technological tools. The program also featured various awareness activities and educational consultations delivered by experts in cybersecurity and law. Additionally, the College hosted several expert-led sessions under the titles “Security Operations Engineer” and “Security Command Center Enterprise Google.” These sessions addressed concepts of enterprise cloud security, cybercrimes and response mechanisms, and included competitions and interactive activities. Dr. Manal Al-Ouhali, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, emphasized that “these activities align with the College’s vision of empowering the academic community to address escalating digital challenges. Cybersecurity is one of the core pillars in building student competencies within a learning environment that keeps pace with rapid technological advancements.” These events reflect the College’s efforts to enhance digital and legal literacy among the University community, in line with Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan 2025, which focuses on excellence in teaching and learning and supports building a digitally aware and cyber-secure university community.
