Sports Affairs Administration Concludes the University Activation Championship for Badminton and Table Tennis

The Sports Affairs Administration at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded, on Thursday, 16 October 2025, the University Activation Championship for “Badminton” and “Table Tennis,” as part of the 16th sports season for female students, under the supervision of the Saudi Federation for University Sports, with the participation of (5) universities across Riyadh. The event took place at the university’s sports club. Princess Nourah University won first place in the Badminton Championship, while Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University secured second place, and King Saud University achieved third place. In the Table Tennis Championship, King Saud University earned first place, followed by Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in second place, and Princess Nourah University in third. The championship aims to enhance sports engagement among female students, foster competitive spirit, encourage the practice of university sports, build positive relationships among students from different universities, develop the technical and physical performance of players, and refine their skills in preparation for future participations. It is worth noting that the Badminton Championship was held according to individual and team competition systems, and the ranking of teams was based on the total points achieved to ensure fairness and maintain the speed of performance. Meanwhile, the Table Tennis Championship followed an elimination and competition system, where matches were played in a league format during the initial stage, and then the highest-ranking teams advanced to the final rounds.
