The three-day workshop, which continued until Tuesday, October 7, 2025, aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and its relationship to creative fields, enabling them to apply AI tools to produce innovative works while promoting ethical awareness and responsible use of these technologies. The workshop also emphasized developing collaboration skills among specialists in building AI-supported projects and exploring real-world applications in fashion, visual arts, and digital design.
The first day began with an introduction to AI fundamentals, its evolution, and its growing role in artistic creativity, followed by a keynote session from Adobe, which showcased its latest AI tools powered by large language models and their role in empowering designers and accelerating innovation.
The second day featured hands-on applications of AI, including style transfer, text-to-image generation, and transforming sketches into complete designs. Participants trained on tools such as Midjourney, DALL·E, and Stable Diffusion.
The third day focused on the ethical dimensions of AI use, including intellectual property protection, privacy, bias, and responsible deployment of these technologies. The program also included a session from Microsoft, highlighting the role of AI in creative industries and its contribution to enhancing design and the arts.
The workshop concluded with presentations of participants’ projects, which demonstrated the fusion of technology and creativity. These projects were highly commended by the judging panel for their excellence in applying AI tools to serve arts and fashion.
This workshop reflects the ongoing collaboration between the College of Computer and Information Sciences, through its AI Center, and both the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Fashion Commission. It underscores the Center’s pivotal role in advancing digital innovation, empowering creative industries, and highlighting the transformative potential of intelligent technologies in arts and fashion.
