The College of Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized today, Wednesday, 8 May 2024, the “Ninth Scientific Forum for Biology Department Female Students’ Graduation Projects for the Academic Year 1445 AH,” along with the accompanying scientific poster exhibition, at the College Theater on campus. The forum included presentations of 42 applied and theoretical projects produced and prepared by approximately 150 graduates from the Biology Department. The projects covered diverse fields, including food, environment, health, and biotechnology. Some projects also involved applications on living organisms in the Kingdom, requiring work across various research centers inside the University. The forum featured an accompanying scientific poster exhibition and a browsing service for the forum’s booklet, which was designed in both Arabic and English, in addition to providing an opportunity to evaluate and discuss research and further develop it into publishable studies to be submitted through the University’s research channels. The forum aimed to reinforce the concept of innovation and encourage the development of students’ skills in an atmosphere of competition. It included the nomination of the best three presentations and scientific posters by a judging committee formed from various biology specializations, contributing to integration between academic aspects and achieving a high level of educational efficiency. The student projects forum reflects the College of Sciences’ care for students’ talents and the scientific and research excellence of its faculty members. It also falls within the College’s efforts to contribute to achieving Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s 2025 Strategic Plan goals and to strengthen its role as a center for knowledge production and investment, as well as the dissemination of ethical ideas and principles in scientific research.
