Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s chess team won first and second place in the Saudi Universities Women’s Chess Championship for the 14th sports season 2024, held at the University of Hail during the period 30 April to 4 May 2024, with the participation of 27 universities. Student Leen Al-Dosari won first place, while student Reem Babqi earned second place, competing against their peers under the individual play system. The participation aimed to enhance and develop skills, encourage students to practice their preferred hobbies, expand the base of chess players, and focus on promoting a spirit of sports competition among them. This comes within the efforts of the Sports Affairs Department to contribute to achieving the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s 2025 Strategic Plan by activating high-quality partnerships and providing a university environment centered on developing students’ athletic capabilities and enhancing their skills and knowledge through leading sports programs.
