Under the Patronage of H.E. the University President, the Deanship of Student Affairs Organizes the Closing Ceremony of Student Activities

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized today, Sunday, 5 May 2024, the annual closing ceremony for extracurricular student activities for the academic year 2023–2024, under the patronage of H.E. the University President, Dr. Enas bint Suleiman Al-Issa. The ceremony was held in recognition of students’ outstanding efforts, to encourage positive competition in achieving the University’s goals and mission, and to motivate students to engage positively and effectively by contributing to various University events and activities. The Vice Dean of Student Life at the Deanship of Student Affairs, Dr. Leila bint Awadh Al-Mutairi, stated: “The Deanship is always keen to support plans through various activities that enhance education, culture, health, and art blended with purposeful entertainment, aiming to create a positive, motivating, and supportive environment. It also attracts training programs that empower students and enrich their cognitive capabilities to build well-qualified national competencies ready to advance and compete in the labor market.” Al-Mutairi affirmed that “the Deanship seeks to select programs and activities that support gifted students and develop their creativity, contributing to achieving academic program outputs through opportunities that support thought leadership, the application of knowledge, and the preparation of promising leaders to continue the development journey, in accordance with the University’s vision aligned with the nation’s ambitious Vision 2030.” The annual ceremony program included various activities and events أبرزها: a visual presentation titled “Our Pride,” honoring student clubs that won the Golden, Silver, Bronze, and Promising Club Awards, the Effective Communication Award, the Leadership Excellence Award, the Best Student Activity Award, and the Sumouq Program Award. It also honored nearly 300 students through Category A Shield, Category B Shield, and Medals for their achievements in student activities throughout the year. The ceremony comes within the Deanship of Student Affairs’ efforts to contribute to achieving Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s 2025 strategic objectives, which aim to provide a university environment that enhances students’ skills in innovation and creativity through extracurricular activities, and reflects the University’s commitment to investing in its students’ youthful energies through activities that play an important role in building educational and life experience.
