The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded today, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the second edition of the “Nabih” Forum, held under the patronage of the University President, Dr. Inas bint Suleiman Al-Eisa. The forum focused on raising awareness about the dangers of drugs and took place at the University’s Conference and Seminar Center. The forum was held to achieve several strategic goals, including: raising community awareness about the dangers of drugs and psychoactive substances, introducing government regulations and policies for combating drugs, enhancing psychological and social support for those affected, exchanging expertise, and fostering cooperation between governmental and private entities. It also encouraged students to participate in creative initiatives aimed at drug awareness. The three-day forum included a panel discussion titled “Be Aware”, designed to promote preventive security against drug use, along with three specialized workshops covering: “Drug Prevention Fields”, “Drugs and Psychoactive Substances”, and “Drug Use and Addiction”. The forum also featured an accompanying exhibition with awareness booths, remote consultation services from specialists in all exhibition areas, and interactive activities. During the forum, the winners of the “Pure Life” Competition were announced under the slogan “Aware Minds, Safe Future”. The competition had been launched earlier to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs across five main tracks: scientific research, visual arts, graphic design, awareness messages, and short films. The second edition of the forum represents a continuation of Princess Nourah University’s efforts to raise awareness about drug dangers, in partnership with the General Directorate for Narcotics Control, reflecting the University’s pioneering role as the first Health-Promoting University in the region. The “Nabih” forum aligns with the Deanship of Student Affairs’ role in achieving the objectives of Princess Nourah University’s 2025 Strategic Plan, which aims to ensure a healthy and supportive university life, providing a safe and healthy environment for female students and the entire community.
