Princess Nourah University Hosts Saudi University Sports Federation Futsal Championship for Female Students

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University hosted today, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the Female Students’ Club Stadium, the Saudi University Sports Federation Futsal Championship for female students for its fifteenth season. The event was held under the patronage of the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, with the participation of 23 universities and colleges from various regions of the Kingdom. The championship, hosted by Princess Nourah University until Saturday, April 26, 2025, aims to develop and enhance female students’ skills in futsal, support university sports, encourage physical activity, and foster a spirit of competition among universities. It also seeks to strengthen relationships between universities through sports activities. Matches are organized in a single round-robin group stage, with the top teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage. Each university team may include a maximum of 12 players per match. Hosting the fifteenth season of the university futsal championship underlines the University’s ongoing commitment to developing the sports sector and achieving athletic excellence. It also reflects the efforts of the Sports Affairs Department to support the Princess Nourah University 2025 Strategic Plan, by promoting a healthy university environment that supports quality of life and preparing female students to represent their university in alignment with its academic mission. The championship aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, emphasizing women’s empowerment and enhancing their presence in all fields, including sports, by providing a competitive environment that showcases students’ athletic talents. It contributes to developing leadership skills and teamwork, preparing students to represent the Kingdom in local and international sports events.
