The College of Languages, represented by the Department of Translation at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, participated in the Regional Forum of French Departments and Language Centers in the Middle East, recently held at the French Education Center (CEF) in Beirut, Lebanon, from 11 to 13 Shawwal 1446 AH (corresponding to April 9–11, 2025). The event brought together over 70 representatives from 15 countries. Dr. Malak Nabil Halabi represented the Department of Translation at the forum, which was organized by the Middle East branch of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF). The forum featured a rich program of specialized workshops and discussions addressing pressing issues in French language education, including multilingualism, innovation in pedagogical practices, and the impact of technology on language learning. Dr. Halabi also took part in a roundtable focused on enhancing the employability of Francophone students. Her contribution emphasized the importance of developing both linguistic and professional skills among female students, building practical bridges between academia and the labor market, and aligning academic training with evolving market demands. The College’s participation reflects Princess Nourah University’s commitment to strengthening its academic presence in the region and engaging in international initiatives that enhance curriculum development and expand opportunities for knowledge exchange. It also aligns with the university’s strategic vision to support Saudi Arabia’s academic and cultural visibility in the region and to highlight the proactive role of Saudi universities in fostering scientific collaboration and educational partnerships.
