The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University won four medals, including silver and bronze, during its participation in the 50th Geneva International Inventions Exhibition, which was held in Geneva, Switzerland, with the participation of up to 900 inventors from 40 countries around the world. The center won the silver medal for the invention “Fixed Dental Bookmark,” presented by Dr. Sarah Al-Nafie, and three bronze medals for scientific inventions, including: “Smart Wheelchair Controlled via Brain Signals and Eye Blink Wirelessly,” presented by Dr. Haya Al-Shahrani, “Tool Designed to Isolate Structurally Damaged Teeth Using the Gum to Fix the Rubber Dam,” presented by Dr. Fahda Al-Qahtani, and “Anti-Diabetic Drug Formula Containing Friedelin as an Active Ingredient,” presented by Dr. Taghreed Al-Omar. The center’s participation in the exhibition, which took place from April 9 to 13, 2025, aimed to enhance the scientific presence of Saudi universities on the international stage, exchange knowledge and experiences, provide participants the opportunity to network with inventors and researchers from around the world, and introduce them to the university. The participation also included cooperation with parties interested in marketing inventions commercially. The involvement of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center reflects its efforts to contribute to achieving the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s 2025 Strategic Plan, by providing an academic environment that supports faculty members, preparing a generation capable of competing locally and internationally, contributing effectively to achieving sustainable development goals, building bridges with the local and global community, and enhancing international influence.
