Princess Nourah University Celebrates International Women’s Day under the Theme “Saudi Women… Today’s Inspiration for Tomorrow’s Sustainability”

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University celebrated International Women’s Day on Saturday evening, 8 March 2025, under the theme “Saudi Women… Today’s Inspiration for Tomorrow’s Sustainability,” with the participation of leading women, businesswomen, community leaders, and representatives from the diplomatic sector at the university’s Conference and Events Center. The celebration highlighted the outstanding achievements of Saudi women across various fields and showcased the university’s role in empowering women through initiatives including the Sara Alsudairy Center, the National Observatory for Women, the Women Leadership Center, and the Princess Nourah Award for Women Excellence. Strategic university partnerships that enhance women’s role in achieving sustainable development were also presented. The event featured an accompanying exhibition with participation from government, semi-governmental, and private sector entities under the theme: “Saudi Women’s Achievements… and Handicraft Creativity,” aimed at showcasing women’s accomplishments and skills in arts and crafts. The university’s celebration of International Women’s Day emphasizes the ongoing support women receive under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince, may God protect them, and highlights the importance of participation from all sectors in advancing women’s developmental roles. This event aligns with the university’s 2025 strategic plan to create a supportive environment for women’s academic and professional excellence, develop strategic partnerships, and enhance women’s role nationally and internationally in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
