The College of Pharmacy, represented by the Pharmacy Club at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, organized today, Monday, 29 April 2024, the 10th edition of the “More Than a Pharmacist” event, with the participation of speakers from مختلف fields within the pharmacy sector and several student clubs from universities across the Kingdom, at the University’s Natural and Health Sciences Research Center. The event aimed to increase knowledge-based awareness of the pharmacy sector and highlight existing challenges and available opportunities. It also aimed to enhance communication and cooperation between pharmacy students and practicing pharmacists, strengthen professional professionalism, and develop the skills required for pharmacy practice. The event included a package of activities and scientific sessions focusing on themes such as “Transformation in Pharmaceutical Care,” “The Pharmaceutical Industry in Saudi Arabia,” “Women’s Leadership Role in Pharmacy,” and “Recent Developments in Pharmaceutical Science and Practice.” Alongside the event, an accompanying exhibition was held to showcase achievements and projects of student clubs and student associations related to the pharmaceutical sector, with the participation of more than 300 male and female students. This event comes as part of the College of Pharmacy’s efforts to contribute to achieving Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s 2025 Strategic Plan objectives by providing an attractive university environment for students that enhances their innovation skills, as well as establishing a flexible, community-based healthcare ecosystem with an innovative approach that relies on integration among all University sectors and optimal investment of capabilities and resources to enhance health awareness.
