Conclusion of the “Game Design Camp” with 10 Tech Projects at the College of Computer and Information Sciences

The College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded its “Game Design Camp” featuring 10 student-led tech projects, demonstrating the University’s commitment to empowering women in the digital gaming industry and preparing them for the labor market. The closing event included an exhibition titled “Game Design Camp Projects,” showcasing projects such as: Soul: a mystery-adventure game exploring the hero’s journey of self-discovery, Is this Dream: an adventure game exploring mysterious worlds, Ladon: an interactive game for children with stuttering, Fire Memory: a memory and brain-challenge game enhancing cognitive speed, Super Jama: an adventure with a brave camel in the Saudi desert, Let’s Cook: a cooking-themed game, Torn: an adventure involving two siblings disappearing under mysterious circumstances, Iglto: a multiplayer game presenting traditional Saudi dishes, Echoes of Dead: a horror-adventure game, and Heroes of Freedom: a 2D adventure game. Dr. Manal Al-Ouhali, Dean of the College, stated: “Organizing such camps, technical exhibitions, and participating in local and international competitions supports our students, motivates innovation, and strengthens technical skills, contributing to national capabilities aligned with labor market needs.” The five-month-long camp included workshops, interactive lectures from gaming experts, and topics such as game design basics, programming with the latest technologies, and character/world design, emphasizing creativity and teamwork. The camp supports the University’s 2025 strategic objectives and Saudi Vision 2030 by empowering women across sectors.
