The Noura Biobank, part of the Natural and Health Sciences Research Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, obtained ISO 20387 certification in biobanking from the Saudi Accreditation Center, and the BRC-00695 biobank program accreditation from the Office of Biobank Education and Research at the University of British Columbia (OBER) and the Canadian Tissue Repository Network (CTRNet). The ISO accreditation marks Princess Nourah University as the first university in the Kingdom to achieve this recognition, reflecting the Biobank’s commitment to the highest quality standards, ethical handling of biological samples, and global best practices in biobanking. The biobank serves as a vital resource supporting research and medical innovation, enhancing healthcare solutions, facilitating global collaboration, and providing scientific platforms for knowledge exchange, contributing to Saudi Vision 2030 objectives. These achievements align with the Natural and Health Sciences Research Center’s mission to strengthen Princess Nourah University’s institutional and scientific excellence and its leadership in local and international research collaboration.
