The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched, today Sunday 26 January 2025, its “Career Week” activities, targeting University students and alumnae, with the participation of several external entities to introduce the labor market and its requirements. The event is held at the College campus. Held under the theme “Compass: Toward a Promising Future,” Career Week aims to enhance the readiness of students and alumnae for entry into the labor market, build professional partnerships that contribute to providing employment opportunities for alumnae, and strengthen effective communication between College affiliates and employers and community institutions. Career Week includes a package of activities running over four days, including panel discussions featuring inspiring alumnae role models, as well as individual and group sessions providing career and employment consultations and guidance. It also offers approximately (11) specialized professional workshops, in addition to three craft workshops in traditional wood art, traditional metal art, and traditional gypsum carving. Career Week features three accompanying exhibitions: the Employers Exhibition, with the participation of approximately (15) external entities, providing students and alumnae with opportunities to explore distinguished work models, access diverse job opportunities, and receive career guidance and consultations, the Small Projects Exhibition, focusing on emerging ventures presented by students and alumnae of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Graduation Projects Exhibition, showcasing alumnae research outputs, which employers can benefit from by transforming results into innovative products. Career Week comes within the College’s roles in contributing to Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan 2025 goals by strengthening the University’s competitive capacity in education and employment, enhancing students’ skills, knowledge, and values, and equipping them with 21st-century competencies.
