The Student Support and Career Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University will launch the “We Walk and Guide” initiative on Wednesday, 15 January 2025, under the theme “Renewed Ambition Toward Competitive Competencies in the National Economy,” aiming to enhance students’ professional and health-related skills. The initiative, which will be held at the Women’s Sports Stadium at the university in collaboration with the Arab Center for Women’s Empowerment (NUSF), seeks to contribute to preparing a qualified generation capable of building the future society. It also aims to promote a healthy university environment by encouraging students to adopt healthy lifestyles and distinguished professional practices, in alignment with the Human Capability Development Program under the pillars of Saudi Vision 2030. “We Walk and Guide” focuses on empowering Saudi women and enhancing their economic and social participation by building relationships of support, development, care, and engagement between experienced professionals and beneficiaries. This is achieved through outdoor walking activities combined with opportunities to acquire practical knowledge and skills that support readiness for the labor market, with the participation of experts and practitioners from various sectors. The initiative includes a one-hour guidance session that combines walking on a fully equipped track with professional mentoring sessions and career support based on global best practices. It aims to enhance social communication and build professional networks among university students, graduates, and women from the community, with the attendance of prominent female leaders. The launch of “We Walk and Guide” reflects the efforts of the Student Support and Career Center to support the objectives of Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025, particularly in building distinguished human capital, providing competitive outputs, promoting healthy lifestyles, and creating a supportive university environment through innovative programs and initiatives that empower Saudi women and enhance their participation in the labor market, thereby strengthening their role in economic and social development.
