The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) on Monday, 30 December 2024, to enhance joint cooperation in supporting and developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem, small and medium enterprises, and entrepreneurs, enabling them to achieve success and sustainability in a competitive business environment. The agreement was signed at Monsha’at’s Enterprise Support Center. The memorandum includes areas of cooperation such as exchanging practical and scientific expertise between the two parties, providing advisory support, launching joint programs, initiatives, and boot camps that contribute to capacity building and skill development for entrepreneurs, in addition to facilitating access to services and programs for beneficiaries. The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center by its Director at Princess Nourah University, Dr. Haya Al-Shahrani, while Ms. Shatha Al-Saeed, Director General of Entrepreneurship Planning at Monsha’at, represented the authority. The signing of the memorandum comes within the framework of empowering small and medium enterprises due to their importance in supporting the local economy, driving development, and creating positive economic and social impact. It also reflects their role in generating new job opportunities and expanding the productive base, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, and in achieving shared objectives related to the exchange of services and mutual benefits in the public interest.
