College of Computer Science and Information Launches the “Artificial Intelligence Newsletter”

The College of Computer Science and Information, represented by the Artificial Intelligence Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, launched the first issue of the “Artificial Intelligence Newsletter,” which focuses on raising awareness of artificial intelligence technologies and their practical applications across various vital sectors such as healthcare, education, and industry, in addition to discussing key ethical issues associated with artificial intelligence. The launch of the electronic newsletter took place in the presence of the President of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, Dr. Enas bint Sulaiman Al-Issa, along with a number of artificial intelligence experts at both the local and regional levels. This initiative reflects the university’s contribution to supporting scientific research and innovation, enhancing awareness, and enriching digital content. The Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information, Dr. Manal Al-Ohaly, explained that issuing the periodic newsletter represents a qualitative addition to the digital community and an active contributor to the development of research activities. It also strengthens the college’s role in achieving its objectives in a manner that serves society and enhances the college’s academic standing. She noted that the newsletter will include up-to-date information on developments and current trends in artificial intelligence, contributing to enhanced collaboration among researchers and encouraging the exchange of related ideas. In turn, the Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center at the College of Computer Science and Information, Dr. Shurooq Al-Sannan, affirmed that the launch of the specialized newsletter represents one of the outcomes of the center’s vision aimed at supporting researchers and developing advanced technological solutions. It also reflects the center’s commitment to supporting scientific research and innovation, enhancing its role in raising awareness, and serving the community. Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University established the Artificial Intelligence Center within the College of Computer Science and Information in 2024 as a key step toward strengthening the university’s role in artificial intelligence and modern technologies. This includes producing pioneering scientific research, developing practical solutions, preparing qualified human capital, and advancing artificial intelligence applications in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
