In line with its mission to empower female students, involve them in decision-making, and enhance the university environment, the Student Advisory Council at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University recorded a series of achievements during its previous term. These included launching initiatives and campaigns, organizing meetings and events, and delivering impactful contributions that engaged more than 43,000 beneficiaries, culminating in the organization of elections for the upcoming council term with the participation of more than 7,000 voters. Earlier last week, the President of Princess Nourah University, Dr. Enas bint Sulaiman Al-Issa, met with members of the sixth-term Student Advisory Council, during which the council’s achievements report, projects, and future plans were reviewed. The council launched the “Ask Me” initiative to receive inquiries from newly admitted students, and the “Your Voice Is Heard” initiative aimed at conveying students’ voices. It also contributed to raising awareness of university regulations and policies through the “I Am Aware” campaign. Under the umbrella of the Deanship of Student Affairs, the council organized the “TEDxPNU” conference, which attracted a distinguished group of national speakers who shared inspiring stories and experiences in specialized fields, drawing more than 3,500 attendees. In addition, the Summer Camp provided a rich and distinctive summer learning and skills development experience at the university campus, benefiting more than 2,000 participants. As part of its efforts to enrich the university community and broaden perspectives, the council delivered more than 13 inspirational sessions, hosting leadership figures to share knowledge and experiences, alongside dialogue sessions on topics such as cybercrime, linguistics, sports ambitions, and tourism guidance. Council members also contributed to several decision-making processes that enhance students’ public interest and university life, including the renewal of the university’s institutional accreditation and the renewal of its accreditation as the first Health-Promoting University in the region. Their contribution included presenting the university to visiting delegations and showcasing the council’s achievements and programs. In its upcoming term, the Student Advisory Council plans to adopt and organize student initiatives across diverse fields, with a focus on sustainability-enhancing projects, environmental preservation, and clean energy, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. The council also aims to empower students in scientific research and provide the necessary support to develop their research skills. Additionally, the council is preparing to host the Student Advisory Councils Forum of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) at Princess Nourah University in January. The Student Advisory Council operates within the efforts of the Deanship of Student Affairs to provide a university environment that fosters belonging and responsibility, and supports activities that serve students’ public interest, in line with the objectives of Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025.
