Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University achieved 44th place regionally (Arab world) and 10th place locally in the THE Arab University Ranking 2024, issued by Times Higher Education. The ranking measures university performance across five main indicators: teaching and learning environment, research environment, research quality, society, and international outlook. The ranking included 238 Arab universities, including 34 Saudi universities. This result reflects the University’s advancement by three local positions since its first participation in the ranking in 2023, when it placed 13th locally. The progress demonstrates the continuity of the University’s development momentum and confirms the effectiveness of its academic programs, the alignment of its research activities with development requirements and international standards, and the strengthening of its institutional reputation locally and internationally. It is worth noting that global university rankings are among the most important tools used to assess academic standards in higher education, based on objective scientific criteria and conditions. The 2024 Arab university rankings rely on the latest methodology known as WUR 3.0, considered the most comprehensive evaluation of university performance worldwide. Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s presence among the lists of the most improved universities aligns with its direction to achieve the goals of its Strategic Plan 2025 in excellence and leadership. It also underscores its national role in contributing to Saudi Vision 2030, which aims for Saudi universities to secure advanced positions in global rankings and for five Saudi universities to be among the top 200 universities in the world.
