Princess Nourah University and the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy Sign an MoU to Enhance Cooperation in Renewable Energy

In the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Board of the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and the City signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday, 17 December 2024, aimed at supporting women’s competencies in renewable energy fields and strengthening academic and industrial cooperation. The MoU was signed by Dr. Mamdouh bin Saud bin Thunayan Al Saud, Chief Executive Officer of the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, and Dr. Enas bint Sulaiman Al-Issa, President of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. The areas of cooperation include developing training programs for female students of Renewable Energy Engineering, enhancing faculty members’ capacity to deliver specialized programs in solar energy, and improving infrastructure to support hydrogen production laboratories and photovoltaic solar energy projects. The MoU reflects the shared objectives of both parties in establishing relationships of knowledge exchange and mutual benefit, and in strengthening communication and collaboration in ways that serve human capacity development and contribute to enhancing national competencies. It also aligns with the University’s commitment to building high-impact partnerships and developing innovative specialized programs based on international standards.
