The English Language Institute at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University will organize the forum titled “Opening New Doors and Broad Horizons for Knowledge and Learning” to promote innovation in English language teaching practices. The forum will be held on Saturday, 30 November 2024, at the English Language Institute on campus. The forum aims to highlight the importance of developing English language education to keep pace with evolving demands in an increasingly connected and fast-changing world, explore innovative best-practice approaches, and equip learners with advanced language skills that enable academic success and professional excellence amid global economic changes. It also seeks to strengthen links between teachers and specialists in the educational field to ensure alignment between language education and real-world requirements, encourage development, exchange new and effective approaches to English language teaching, expand faculty members’ knowledge and skills, and stimulate research in the teaching and learning of English within a renewed global context. The forum includes six main sessions featuring presentations and panel discussions, with the participation of faculty members, language experts, researchers, and stakeholders in educational development. The goal is to encourage the adoption of innovative teaching approaches that enhance learners’ academic and professional capacities. The Dean of the English Language Institute, Dr. Danya Al-Shaalan, noted that the forum represents an important step toward improving and developing English teaching methods in line with the needs of a changing global economy, exploring best practices in English language instruction, and strengthening cooperation among faculty members, experts, and stakeholders. She also emphasized that equipping learners with essential language skills is vital for academic and career success in a world characterized by increasing interconnectedness and cultural interaction. This forum is part of the English Language Institute’s efforts to support Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025, which focuses on strengthening linguistic diversity, academic excellence in English, and developing human competencies capable of keeping pace with global changes in education and work, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
