In conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University is launching a series of events and campaigns across the university’s vice-rectorates, deanships, and colleges. These initiatives aim to disseminate knowledge, shed light on issues facing women worldwide, address violence in all its forms, and raise awareness of the importance of confronting it within society. The events and campaigns will run for 16 days, featuring diverse awareness activities across campus, including informational booths, guidance booklets about violence against women, its forms and impacts on victims, and communication channels for reporting violence. They also highlight national efforts aimed at strengthening women’s role and rights. The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the university held a dialogue session focusing on the importance of supporting women, raising awareness of their rights, and encouraging joint community action to combat violence against women by providing a safe, supportive environment and clarifying the effective role individuals and institutions can play in supporting and protecting women. These initiatives reflect Princess Nourah University’s community responsibility in promoting awareness and education related to women’s issues and forging societal partnerships that support them, thereby contributing to achieving the objectives of its Strategic Plan 2025.
