The Applied College at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched today, Thursday, 21 November 2024, the “Career Future 2024” Forum, with the participation of approximately 35 entities. The forum aims to connect diploma students and graduates of the Applied College programs with employers and is being held at the University Conference and Convention Center. The forum seeks to provide employment and training opportunities for students and graduates, create space for networking with companies and institutions from various sectors, and enable participants to learn about labor market requirements, thereby supporting career path planning and enhancing students’ job-related skills. The forum features a package of activities and events, including a graduates’ projects exhibition, a career consultation corner that includes CV review, interview coaching, and career guidance, as well as an informational pavilion introducing Applied College programs, and another introducing the Student Support Center and student services. The forum also includes the signing of memoranda of understanding with Saudi Airlines Engineering and Aerospace Manufacturing (SAEAM), Alfanar, and Isnad Riyadh. In addition, the forum offers a range of training workshops and mentoring sessions addressing several topics, including: “Steps to Establish Entrepreneurial Projects,” “CV Writing Skills,” “Negotiation Skills in the Workplace,” “Career Interests and Their Impact on Career Path,” and “Career Pathways in the Labor Market,” alongside group and individual consultation sessions. Dr. Rana bint Sulaiman Al-Aqili, CEO of the Applied College, stated that the forum is launched with an ambitious vision to empower Applied College students and graduates through inspiring meetings that bring them together with a distinguished group of experts, pioneers, and leading companies across multiple fields. This contributes to enriching their experience, providing them with real insights into challenges and success in the labor market, and offering training and employment opportunities. The “Career Future 2024” Forum comes as part of the Applied College’s role in contributing to the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan 2025 by enhancing the University’s competitive capacity in education and employability, strengthening students’ skills, knowledge, and values, and equipping them with 21st-century competencies.
