The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched the “Inspirational Entrepreneurship” Forum to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among youth and women. The forum was launched today, 19 November 2024, as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week events at the University Conference and Convention Center, in the presence of a distinguished group of entrepreneurs, investors, and experts. The first edition of the “Inspirational Entrepreneurship” Forum represents a qualitative shift in supporting women’s entrepreneurship, as it reinforces Princess Nourah University’s role as an incubator for creativity and entrepreneurship and contributes to achieving Saudi Vision 2030 targets related to women’s empowerment and strengthening their presence in the Saudi market as a key pillar of sustainable economic development. Organized in cooperation with the Saudi Businesswomen Association, the forum attracts more than 1,500 visitors, including experts, entrepreneurs, investors, as well as university students and graduates. The forum concludes with investment pitches during which “Code Lab” projects at Princess Nourah University are presented to investors, enabling project owners to access appropriate funding and support and contribute to realizing their entrepreneurial visions. The forum includes panel discussions addressing strategic topics such as: “Entrepreneurship and the Targets of Saudi Vision 2030,” “Entrepreneurship and Institutional Support,” and “Women’s Empowerment in Promising Sectors.” It also features the signing of memoranda of understanding with Bank Albilad and Abdul Latif Jameel Company, expanding opportunities to support and finance startups and provide essential resources for their growth and prosperity. In addition, the forum offers specialized workshops led by experts in multiple areas, including “Competitive Analysis,” “Innovation and Entrepreneurship,” “Building a Business Model,” and “Intellectual Property Rights,” alongside an accompanying exhibition showcasing incubated startups, students’ innovative projects, and business clinics providing consultations from specialized entities. The forum also witnesses the launch of two initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering women in entrepreneurship: the “Advisory Council – Nourah Young Women Track” initiative, and the “Keep Going—We’re With You: Nourah Women Entrepreneurs Track” initiative, launched by the Saudi Businesswomen Association in cooperation with Princess Nourah University. These initiatives provide ongoing support for women entrepreneurs and offer a network of consultations and training courses that strengthen their capabilities and enable them to move forward in their entrepreneurial journeys. The forum seeks to achieve multiple strategic objectives to enrich the women’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and enhance women’s developmental participation, including raising awareness of women’s empowerment dimensions in commerce and business, emphasizing the importance of innovation and creativity across all fields, and strengthening responsible citizenship in line with national transformation programs and Saudi Vision 2030. The “Inspirational Entrepreneurship” Forum comes as part of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center’s role in contributing to Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025, which aims to strengthen women’s role in innovation and entrepreneurship and equip students with the knowledge and skills required for the labor market.
