The Women’s Leadership Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded the “Ministry of Health Women Leaders” program, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health, in support of the national health sector strategy to increase the number of women professionals in leadership positions at the Ministry. The closing ceremony was attended by Her Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Inas bint Sulaiman Al-Issa, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development, Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Rumaikh, and the Assistant Minister of Health for Human Resources, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Aiban. Participants presented their projects aimed at providing creative and practical solutions to challenges facing the Saudi health sector, applying the skills acquired during the program. The program included three training modules comprising several courses and workshops: the Leadership Mindset and Design Thinking Module, the Leadership Skills for Women in Saudi Arabia Module, and the Influential Leadership Presence Module. The program contributed to developing leadership and team management skills, raising awareness of public health concepts and best practices, enhancing participants’ understanding of health issues, and improving their professional performance. Participants completed 150 training hours during the program and were also given opportunities to exchange experiences with specialists in the field, thereby strengthening their professional networks. The Director of the Women’s Leadership Center, Ms. Iman Al-Sammari, explained that the program represents a real transformation in strengthening women’s role in the health sector. Participants demonstrated their ability to develop leadership skills through diverse workshops and practical training, which enhanced their confidence and readiness to face workplace challenges. This reflects the continuous commitment of relevant entities to supporting and empowering Saudi women in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The program falls within the Women’s Leadership Center’s efforts to contribute to achieving Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025 by promoting Saudi women’s leadership in national development and highlighting their civilizational role through training, professional support, and the preparation of a professional community of women leaders.
