In conjunction with October, which is globally dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized a series of campaigns and events across its vice presidencies, deanships, and colleges to spread knowledge and raise health awareness among students and academic and administrative staff. Several University entities, in collaboration with the Zahra Breast Cancer Association, implemented awareness campaigns to encourage early detection, promote regular screening as part of a healthy lifestyle, and strengthen prevention against health risks. Awareness activities across campus included informational booths, guidance booklets addressing frequently asked questions about breast cancer, and scientific posters covering a range of topics such as ways to reduce the risk of breast cancer, foods that support prevention, the importance of early detection including self-examination, and highlighting the latest technologies used in diagnosis. According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women and one of the most widespread globally, with early detection being a crucial factor in improving recovery. These campaigns support Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025 by fulfilling its social responsibility in serving women-related issues, building community partnerships, and raising health awareness, which is one of the key objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
