The Applied College at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University will organize the event “A Step for Your Peace of Mind” on Thursday, 24 October 2024, targeting University students, academic and administrative staff, and their families. The event aims to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity in improving mental well-being and to encourage the University community to engage in walking. The event will include multiple walking routes suitable for different fitness levels: the Green Route (1 km), the Blue Route (2 km), and the Orange Route (3 km). All routes will start from the Members’ Sports Club and extend to the nearby Sports Track. The event will also include side activities designed to increase awareness of the benefits of physical activity and its positive impact on mental health, in addition to encouraging community participation. This helps participants cope with challenges and stress and enhances their academic and professional performance. This initiative aligns with Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025, which aims to promote a campus environment that supports health and well-being, in line with Saudi Vision 2030’s goal of building a vibrant society and encouraging a healthy lifestyle for individuals and the community.
