Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, announced the offering of three professional programs under the MicroX Short University Programs Initiative, one of the Human Capability Development Program initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030. The initiative is implemented by the National eLearning Center through the digital education and training ecosystem FutureX, with the aim of enhancing national competencies and equipping them with skills aligned with the continuous changes in the labor market. The programs include three specialized tracks:
• Business Intelligence: Concepts and Applications Program, which presents core data analysis concepts and explains how to apply generative AI techniques to improve the efficiency of data exploration and analysis.
• Game Development Using Unity Program, which aims to teach beginner programmers how to code games and enable them to apply programming concepts.
• Machine Learning Fundamentals Program, which introduces the basics and techniques of machine learning and their practical applications across various types of data.
The MicroX initiative aims to keep pace with rapid changes in professional sectors by empowering individuals with emerging skills, supporting vital sectors and specialties that contribute to achieving Saudi Vision 2030, and enhancing the global competitiveness of Saudi citizens—ultimately making learning opportunities available to everyone by offering programs in a professional digital format. The initiative targets all interested individuals, including general education graduates, higher education graduates, university students, job seekers, and those currently employed. The initiative provides enrollees with several benefits, including high flexibility by enabling learners to choose their learning journey according to their professional needs through “customizable learning pathways,” as well as reliability based on developing university programs in collaboration with academic institutions and industry leaders in the Kingdom. Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University is among the first universities to offer professional programs under the MicroX initiative, reflecting the University’s commitment to achieving the objectives of its Strategic Plan 2025, which is built on leadership and establishment, excellence and empowerment, building a productive relationship with the labor market, and contributing to the national development journey. It is worth noting that the MicroX initiative seeks to launch 350 short university programs in partnership with universities and employers in specialized sectors over four years.
