The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University inaugurated the headquarters of the “Mu‘een” Clinic Project on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in cooperation with the Health Awareness Charitable Association (Hayatuna). This initiative comes as part of the Deanship’s efforts to build a partnership model with the non-profit healthcare sector in projects that promote public health. The Mu‘een Project aims to address health challenges facing society, including rising obesity rates, reducing the risk of chronic diseases associated with unhealthy lifestyles, and encouraging students to volunteer in the healthcare field through the Student Empowerment Program. The clinic provides moral and awareness-based support to students and University staff throughout their journey toward adopting a healthy lifestyle, offering medical intervention pathways that include designing personalized nutritional and fitness programs to support each beneficiary in achieving her health goals. The inauguration followed the activation of an awareness caravan that toured the University for two weeks and welcomed more than 2,000 students, introducing the project’s objectives and methods of benefit. This initiative builds upon the efforts of the mobile clinic launched last year to promote healthy lifestyles by encouraging healthier dietary habits and physical activity among University staff and students. This initiative reflects the role of the Deanship of Student Affairs in contributing to the Princess Nourah University Strategic Objectives 2025 as a health-promoting university, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 goals toward a vibrant society, strengthening preventive healthcare, and enhancing collaboration and knowledge exchange with non-profit organizations.
