The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched yesterday, Sunday, 1 September 2024, the “Mu’een” Clinic Project, in cooperation with the Charitable Society for Health Awareness (Hayatuna). The project aims to provide support and assistance to female students and university affiliates in modifying dietary behaviors and promoting physical activity. The project, which will continue until the end of the academic year, seeks to offer various health services and consultations to raise awareness of diseases associated with unhealthy lifestyles, in addition to encouraging female students to volunteer in the health sector by participating in activating the clinic and raising peer awareness. The “Mu’een” project is being implemented across four colleges: the College of Business Administration, the College of Sciences, the College of Languages, and the College of Designs and Arts. It includes a consultation clinic focused on awareness of the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and improving overall public health through the provision of in-person and virtual health services. The clinic is linked to relevant medical care clinics that provide the necessary support and medical consultations through qualified personnel. The project complements the first and second phases of the “Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle” clinic, which aims to combat health challenges facing the community—such as diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, obesity, and heart disease—by providing access to medical consultations and preventive programs and plans through health education, nutrition, and fitness clinics. In the same context, the Deanship of Student Affairs activated the first sessions of the Virtual Consultation Clinic in its fifth season, in cooperation with the Saudi Charitable Diabetes Association, by opening a channel to answer inquiries and provide consultations by a group of specialists in fields related to diabetes.
