The Sports Affairs Department at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded today, Thursday, 15 August 2024, the activities of the “Summer Camp for the Esports and Mind Sports Club,” with the participation of 130 female students, at the University’s sports club headquarters. The final competitions of the Esports and Mind Sports Camp included seven games: “COD Mobile,” “COD Console/PC,” “Overwatch,” “PUBG Mobile,” “Valorant,” “FC24,” and “Chess.” The camp sought to develop participants’ personal, athletic, and technical skills and enhance their strategic thinking by providing an integrated educational and training environment. Participants were guided by specialists in mind sports and esports with extensive experience in developing critical thinking and analysis strategies, as well as advanced skills in esports. In the same context, the Sports Affairs Department completed the activities of the fifth summer camp season, during which friendly volleyball matches were held once per week, competitive taekwondo matches were conducted, and daily challenges took place. These activities aimed to enhance social interaction among participants, encourage innovation in playing styles, develop their combat and tactical skills, improve participants’ physical fitness, and contribute to discovering new talents. This comes within the Sports Affairs Department’s efforts to contribute to achieving Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s 2025 strategic plan objectives by providing a university environment focused on developing students’ athletic capacities and enhancing their skills and knowledge through leading sports programs.
