The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, in partnership with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), concluded today, Thursday, 18 July 2024, the “Mawhiba Academic Enrichment” and “Mawhiba Global Enrichment” programs, with the participation of more than (500) gifted students, at the University campus. The closing ceremony showcased the achievements and projects of the gifted students across (8) tracks of the academic program: Renewable Energy, Chemical Applications, Principles of Engineering Design, Anatomy and Physiology, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Medical and Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, and Cryptography, in addition to (4) tracks of the global program: Physics, Earth and Space Sciences, Engineering Sciences, and Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. The activities of both programs continued for three weeks and included projects, scientific and practical experiments, applied activities, and scientific trips and visits. The programs aimed to enrich gifted students’ scientific and linguistic competencies, engage them in completing tasks and projects, and develop personal skills and skills of innovation and creativity through a motivating environment that enhances passion for science and knowledge to build the leaders of the future. It is worth noting that Mawhiba enrichment programs are implemented periodically as part of the collaboration between Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, based on the belief in the importance of refining knowledge and skills across various tracks and cognitive and applied fields, leveraging young gifted human resources, and enhancing their capabilities to achieve national goals and contribute to building a prosperous economy and sustainable development.
