The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized a series of training workshops خلال الأسبوع الجاري, targeting University affiliates and female students to enhance knowledge and skills and equip them with 21st-century skills. The Center conducted a workshop titled “User Experience and Interface Design,” aiming to explain the concept and importance of user experience and design, addressing several themes including design thinking, how to design user interfaces and user experience, and practical application using the Figma program. The Center also offered a workshop on the skills required to use “Power BI,” as one of the programs in demand in the labor market. The workshop included an introduction to the program and its features, how to use it, and practical application. The Center delivered a workshop titled “Database Fundamentals,” which aimed to enable trainees to master database basics, learn the language used for database programming, and how to write related programming commands, including understanding database components and types and the relationships between them. In addition, the Center held a workshop titled “Introduction to Extended Reality Technologies,” which reviewed practical applications and multiple benefits of extended reality (XR) technologies—including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR)—through several themes such as types of XR technologies, the importance and applications of XR in various fields, the metaverse and XR technologies, the tools and platforms needed to develop XR applications, and future trends in the field. This comes within the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center’s efforts to contribute to achieving Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s 2025 strategic objectives by providing competitive outputs, enhancing knowledge and skills enrichment, and contributing to building the society of the future.
