As Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University continues its efforts to achieve the directions of its 2025 Strategic Plan—particularly in empowering women and strengthening their leadership—the University’s Women’s Leadership Center completed, by the end of the Hijri year 1445, seven programs and initiatives and 25 scientific research studies supporting women leaders in the areas of qualification and training, advisory and professional support, and strengthening professional networks. These initiatives benefited more than 700 female leaders from various government and private sectors. The Center strengthened its presence through a package of programs, most notably “Qiyadiyah,” “Qudwah,” “Coaching,” and “Assessment Tools.” The Qiyadiyah Program equips women with essential leadership tools and skills to face challenges specific to women in the Saudi labor market. The Qudwah mentoring and guidance program aims to enhance job satisfaction, improve professional performance, and support women’s leadership journeys by connecting experienced and successful mentors with emerging female leaders, thereby strengthening their professional goals and developing their leadership potential. The total number of beneficiaries of this program reached approximately 321 participants. The Coaching Program focuses on human development, relationships, health, and professional success through a set of tools applicable in various situations to help female leaders solve problems, discover their potential, and enhance communication skills. Meanwhile, the Assessment Tools Program aims to measure and explain leadership behaviors and practices and to assess leadership competencies and skills that reflect effective leadership. The Women’s Leadership Center also launched several qualitative initiatives, including the First Women’s Research Camp, which aimed to support the publication of women’s research and studies in peer-reviewed scientific journals. The camp lasted 12 days (100 hours) and involved 52 participants and 25 research papers, resulting in the publication of three papers in peer-reviewed journals. In addition, the Rifqah Platform initiative supports communication, experience sharing, and discussion of challenges among professional women in the Kingdom. This is complemented by the Samā’āt Book Club, which focuses on selecting inspiring books related to women’s leadership issues as a basis for reading, discussion, and interaction. It is worth noting that the official inauguration of the Women’s Leadership Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University took place in 2022. The Center was established as part of the University’s role—as the largest women’s university in the world—in empowering women in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 by engaging the largest possible number of women in leadership roles across national development sectors.
