Brief

Biography: Dr. Safia Omer Hapallah Safia Hapallah is Assistant Professor, responsible for carrying out teaching, research duties, and writing research proposals. Dr. Safia with more than 20 years of experience in teaching, is currently a faculty member at Princess Norah Bint Abdulrahman University- College of Business and Administration - Department of Economics. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Sudan University of Science & Technology, with a highest honor Master’s degree in Population & Development from Gezira University. She worked as a teaching assistant and lecturer at Gedaref University, Sudan. After that, she worked at Kassala University as Assistant Professor. She was also a member of the research council & university Senate. Dr. Safia has extensive national and international experience in teaching Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and the Economics of Resources & the Environment. Business Statistics, Research methods, Graduate Research. Additionally, she has excellent experience in using the SPSS program for undergraduate, master, and Ph.D. students. Dr. Safia also supervised student’s research in areas of development economics at the master level at Kassala and Al Gadaref University Safia supervised several M.SC theses at Kassala University and she was an external examiner of M.SC Students in Economics at Gedaref University. Research interests lie in the areas of Economic growth, sustainable development, development economics, and population & development. She participated in national and international conferences to present research papers. Safia Hapallah has administration experience as the head of the Economics department in Sudan for some years. In addition, she has good experience in managing Examinations, as head of the Examinations Unit in the College of Business & Administration for many years. In addition, she is a member of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Committee
